Faith Pictures

A new six-week course in faith-sharing

‘Simple but brilliant’ Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby

Faith Pictures is a new, web-based course to help people talk to friends, neighbours and colleagues about what they believe. At its heart is identifying an image that says something about a person’s faith. Each of the six sessions includes a short video and lively discussion-starters. Faith Pictures has three main distinctives:

• Honesty about people’s faith journeys, without bracketing out hard questions.

• Humour. Faith Pictures is fun and accessible.

• Whole Church. Faith Pictures is a simple idea that can be used across traditions.

Faith Pictures is a free resource from Church Army. Written by Mike Starkey, it features Archbishop Justin Welby, comic Milton Jones, Paula Gooder, and many more. It was launched at the November General Synod to an enthusiastic response. There is already wide take-up in dioceses – including Southwark, who are using Faith Pictures as a 2016 Lent course. Take a look at the Intro Video and explore the course

Faith Pictures author Mike Starkey is available to speak about the course and answer questions. He can be contacted at: 0114 252 1644
