Forthcoming Survey on Pioneers

All pioneers in the country will shortly receive an email inviting them to take part in a survey run by King’s College London. This important project seeks to better understand the ministry of pioneers and their experiences of a ministry ‘on the edge’. Participation in the initial survey should take less than 20 minutes and there will also be an opportunity to take part in a further diary study to capture ‘a week in the life’ of pioneers. We fully support this work and would encourage you to participate.

For more information, please contact Dr Mike Clinton, who is the King’s lead for this part of the project (email:; tel: 020 7848 3472). Alternatively, if you wish to get in touch with a national church representative, please contact Dr Tim Ling, National Advisor for Continuing Ministerial Development (email:; tel: 020 7898 1408). The research project is being supported by the National Continuing Ministerial Development Panel and an advisory group of clergy and has received ethical approval from a King’s College London Ethics Committee.
