New pioneer posts in the Diocese of York

The Ven Andy Broom, Archdeacon of the East Riding says:

We are looking for missionally minded Ministers, ordained or licensed lay workers - they will have pioneering gifts and some may have been ordained or commissioned formally as Pioneers. We anticipate that they will begin in post between Easter and September 2019, so we would welcome applicants from curates currently in their 3rd year, but also from those at other stages of ministry. We are currently advertising for 7 new posts whose purpose will be to reach and disciple those of this age and draw them into community – in most cases we imagine that this will be through the creation of New Worshipping Communities. These 7 will be joining a further 7 who we are recruiting internally from our own diocese and are part of a major strategic investment which will also see new resources put into lay pioneering; St Michael le Belfrey becoming a Resource Church plus a wide range of approaches to equip every benefice which chooses to respond to the invitation to reach 20s – 40s.
