The Archbishops’ Council and the Church Commissioners earmarked £12m in 2011-13 for research and development work related to church growth. Of this, £3m was made available for grant distribution in two tranches. These grants were invested into initiatives around the church that were proving to be effective in terms of mission and growth, with the aim of scaling their impact across the Church.
The key aim of the funding was to:
- Learn from and develop existing mission work which is leading to growth in the number of Christian disciples so that such growth can be replicated elsewhere.
29 initiatives were funded in the two tranches (October 2011 and April 2012) a full list of grant recipients can be found here.
Each initiative will have a profile page on this website within Project Profiles.
